God calls us to be the Church, the Body of Christ.
We cannot be obedient to God in this command unless we
reach out to
our brothers and sisters in Christ. Many of our
relationships begin when we share our light in Christ
with those who have been
in darkness and who we help to come out of darkness into
the light. Other relationships will come when we put on
our spiritual
roles in the Body of Christ. These relationships can
only grow and be what Jesus Christ wants them to be when
we fellowship.
We are directed to never forsake growing in fellowship in the Body
of Christ. Remember, in the world the focus is on
division.
In the Church, the focus is on unity and growing
relationships. This must be fulfilled even in hostile
environments.
