The Apostle Paul delivers to the Ephesians, God’s
direction on bringing the Body of Christ, the Church,
together in unity and
faith. The same direction and encouragement is needed in
the Church today. Paul goes a step further, he gets
personal with us.
He goes directly into the heart of much conflict and
division in the Body of Christ, into the household, into
the marriage
relationship. Whatever we allow to go on in the
household and in our most intimate relationships, affect
our daily walk before the
Lord. This of course impacts the work of the Church. The
Church is called to submission and service to God and
His people.
Submission and service begin in our godly relationships
with our husbands and wives. It is in marriage that we
learn and practice
daily how to submit to each other and serve each other
in God’s love. In doing so, we provide the world with
the examples of
how to submit and serve each other and the blessings
that obedience to this call brings to believers.
