| Jesus calls His 12 disciples to go out to the people of Israel as their first missionary assignment. They are to announce
that the kingdom of God is at hand in Christ Jesus. Jesus has prepared them and given them the power to carry out His directives, to make His proclamation, to hell the sick, to cast out
demons, lead the people to Christ. Jesus warns with these powers also come the costs and challenges of representing Christ. Discipleship then and now is not for the faint of heart; but
know that God the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit will watch over us as disciples, guide us, protect us, and will speak for us in attacks from the enemy. |
