The Body of Christ is called to throw off the ways and behaviors of the world as we grow to represent Jesus Christ as the Body of Christ.
Although those in the Body are His elect, we are warned by Christ that we will be attacked by the world and even by those within the Body of Christ. What are we required to do when we are attacked or
receive harm from our brothers and sisters in the Body? We must rebuke the offender and the offense, letting the offender know what he or she has done wrong. The offender must repent of his and her
behavior and change that behavior. We are then to forgive the offender. We are required to forgive those who offend us without reservation. If we want forgiveness from our Father for our trespasses,
then we are required to forgive those who offend us and who repent of that offense.
