The Apostle Peter in 2
Peter 3:3-5 reminds us how there have always been those
“scoffers” who have questioned
God, His word, His prophecies and His actions. They act
as though they know more than God, challenging why we
believe
God. Peter says they are “walking after their own lusts”
and that they are “willingly ignorant” of God, His Son,
His Spirit,
His word, His work, and His creation. Why would anyone
choose to be ignorant of such a great God? These
“willingly ignorant”
people want to pull God’s people off God’s plan for us.
They want to destroy our relationships with God and
condemn us to
the same end that they will experience in His judgment.
God has a special end for these scoffers in hell. All
believers must
reject the work of these scoffers and avoid their end.
Stand up for God’s truth! |
