| While God does call specific believers to carry forth His prophetic messages with the gift of prophecy, but all of us who are
true believers in Jesus Christ, are also prophets of God required to carry forth His Word and messages to His children in truth and holiness. As believers in Jesus Christ, we are all commissioned
by His Authority to go and “…make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded
you.” That means that we are to share Christ’s true messages and to conduct ourselves as followers of Christ to all believers and non-believers. In this regard we are prophets. Anyone who
does not carry out this commission or who misrepresents the Word of God is a false prophet. Those who are followers of Christ have an obligation to God to determine who the false prophets are who seek to
harm and destroy the Body of Christ. True believers must deal with these false prophets as God leads us to and protect the vulnerable members in the Body of Christ. |
