1 Samuel 26:23-25 (Part3) |
David experienced much persecution at the hands of
King Saul. Yet he never sought to kill Saul, although
God delivered
Saul into David’s hands on more than one occasion. Each
time David showed himself to be more honorable than King
Saul.
David was not after vengeance; he was a man who sought
after God’s heart. In the midst of his trials and
troubles, he chose
to do only what pleased God, knowing that God would take
care of his every need.. In doing so, he made King Saul
see himself
and his sin as God saw him. Saul became repentant and
blesses David.
As Christians, we would do well to follow David’s
example when we are going through trials and
tribulations. Keep our focus
on pleasing God at all times. Stop focusing on the
problems. Remember that God does reward those who
diligently seek Him.
He is just. He will reward each of us based on what He
sees in us, our righteousness, our heart, our condition,
our desire to
seek Him.
