As children of God and His
disciples we know His word, we study His word and we
know what is coming. But what
must we do? His word tells us that eventually all that
we see in this sinful world will be destroyed and He
will bring into
existence a new heaven and a new earth! What do we do in
the meantime? Do we panic and lose our peace and our
focus
in the Lord? Do we worry about all of our earthly
possessions and accomplishments? No, such behaviors have
nothing to do
with God’s truth and His plan for us. It is time that we
act on His truth, we must be the holy and godly people
of God, always
looking forward to the triumphant return of our Lord,
and living every day in His presence. We must be
committed to God, be
righteous before Him, and continually focus on our
deepening relationship with Him. Our reverence for God
will yield to us the
peace, joy, and wisdom to carry us through all things. |
