King David faced the rebellion
of his son Absalom, who sought to destroy him. King
David left his throne during this
turbulence. How could this be? He was a man after God’s
own heart. God loved David and David truly loved the
Lord. To
someone looking in from the outside, it would seem that
David was in serious trouble. He was, but David knew His
LORD had
not forsaken him. David knew that God had a plan that
would deliver him even if it looked as though all was
lost. In Psalm 4,
we find that David never lost his confidence and faith
in God to meet his needs. In the midst of his trouble,
he had peace and
sleep through the Lord. As we study David’s life through
these times of trial, we know that God had a plan for
David and his
victory. Know that God has a plan for you in all of your
challenges. He is the Creator who has the power to
create the plan and
all of the resources that you need in resolving all of
your issues. So stand tall and walk tall. You are the
child of a King who can
take care of all your needs, fix all of your
circumstances, while you experience His peace and joy
through it all. Never give up
on God, because God never gives up on you!
