God has put everything in you
so that you can have the life that He wants you to have
- a life that glorifies God. If you
are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are His dwelling
place. God has invested great things in you, so be very
careful in who and in
what you invest His gifts. If you invest His precious
gifts into evil and foolish things or false gods, you
will reap the same
consequences as the 10 lost tribes of Israel. However,
if you invest in His righteousness and His holiness you
will reap all
of the glorious promises that He has made to His
children. |

Israel’s Sin and Captivity
1. Israel empties
his
vine;
He brings forth fruit for himself.
According to the multitude of his fruit
He has increased the altars;
According to the bounty of his land
They have embellished
his
sacred
pillars.
2. Their heart is divided;
Now they are held guilty.
He will break down their altars;
He will ruin their
sacred
pillars. |
3. For now they say,
“ We have no king,
Because we did not fear the LORD.
And as for a king, what would he do for
us?”
4. They have spoken words,
Swearing falsely in making a covenant.
Thus judgment springs up like hemlock in
the furrows of the field.
