When we think on the words of
Christ, “"This is My body which is given for you; do
this in remembrance of Me," what do
you remember? What
has Christ done for you? Often when we are caught up in
turmoil, we do not remember what Christ has
done nor who
He is. We get so caught up in the pain of it all,
worrying about “poor me.” We are not remembering what
Christ
has called us to do. We do not even remember that
He gave all for our salvation and our deliverance from
sin and death. He
controls all things in us and around
us. He wants us to know Him and all that He wants for
us. In fact, the pain and turmoil
that you are
experiencing He controls. He will even allow pain and
suffering in our lives to bring us closer to Him. So
when we
eat of His body and drink of His blood in
communion, remember Who He truly is and all that He does
for us to bring us into the
fullest relationship that we
can possibly have in Him.
