Sermon Title :
My Father Is Working; I Must Work
Praise and Worship
Sermon

As we continue our study of the earthly ministry that Jesus carried out to bring us to the Father, we notice how He always takes care of the business at hand. There were many challenges to Who He is and to what He is doing, then and now. Jesus is always ready with the right answers, the right guidance and the right actions for those who believe and for those who do not believe. Jesus was attacked in the temple by the leaders of the temple for healing a man of his 38-year-old disability that had severely crippled him. These leaders misrepresented God’s commandment of no work on the Sabbath to persecute this man for being healed by Jesus and to attack Jesus and His authority as the Son of God. Jesus let them know that as long as His Father is working, He as the Son of God works, carrying out the will of His Father.

As children of the Father, we must do as Jesus is teaching and demonstrating. We must work according to the Father’s will and direction as long as He directs us to do so. This may mean challenging those who are so-called leaders, who are not carrying out God’s will. We must carefully and obediently follow the example and the works of Jesus Christ.
