In reading and studying
Isaiah 9:6, have you ever wondered what the scripture
means, “…And the government will rest
on His shoulders…”? It means that the Lord has dominion
over everything and every creature, including each of
us. We can
acknowledge His dominion and choose to live in Him or we
can choose to ignore His dominion or fight against Him
and experience
the consequences that led to our destruction. So what
does it really mean to acknowledge and to live in Him?
Jesus, Our Lord
gives us specific rules that prove that the government
…”rest on His Shoulders,” in His dominion over all. The
nurturing of this
Child Who has been given to us means that we obey His
rules, nurturing His Spirit in us and in turn He
nurtures us, taking care
of our every need and circumstance. |
