God so loves His people that
even in disciplining them for their disobedience, He
puts in place a plan for their salvation.
That salvation comes to His people through His Son Jesus
Christ. In His plan He includes a forerunner of Jesus
Christ who
would prepare the people for the coming of the Savior of
all mankind.
There are many people today who are just as lost as
they were before the coming of Jesus Christ. They too
need a
forerunner to prepare them to accept Jesus Christ and
the salvation that only He can bring to us. Are we, who
are believers
and doers of God’s word in Jesus Christ, called to be
“forerunners” for Christ today? As we approach the
celebration of Christ’s
coming to the earth for our salvation are we being
reminded to “prepare the way for the Lord” in this day
and time?
