God, our Father, clearly
describes the coming Messiah in many ways to tell us Who
He is to each of us. God also records
in His word the many examples of Who He is in the Old
Testament and in the New Testament of His written word.
He does
this so that we cannot miss Who Jesus is and why He came
to earth to save us and help us to be all that He wants
us to be.
One of the titles He gives to the Christ is Everlasting
Father. Who is “Father?” He is the Nurturer, the
Protector, the
Provider, our Mighty Counselor, our Savior. This child
who is given to us by our Heavenly Father is all that we
will need to
grow in the Lord and to be all that He wants us to be,
not just yesterday, today, or tomorrow, but forever,
because He is
the Everlasting Father to each of us forever.
Everlasting means there is no beginning and no end to
Him and His relationship
with us. |
