Hosea reminds Israel that God
has done everything for them since He chose them as His
people. He continues to provide
for them even though they are disobedient. He will do it
again and again because He loves them. He does the same
for us. All
that He asks of us is our love, obedience and trust. Why
was it so difficult for Israel to give these things to
God? Why is it so
difficult for us to give God what He ask for from us?
Our SIN! We trust in everything but God. We especially
think that we
provide things, such as wealth for ourselves. Like the
10 lost tribes of Israel, we even think that we are
without sin. How foolish
we are, following in the paths of disobedience,
separating ourselves from God. But our loving God tells
us if we ask for
forgiveness and repent, and we turn to Him, He will
provide for us and keep us as He has done before.
He'll do it again!
