As Peter nears the end of
his life on earth, he shares his testimony with all of
us. We know his many failures, but we
also know his triumphs, how he grew in His relationship
with His Savior, Jesus Christ. Like Peter, many of us
have testimonies
on how Jesus has saved us and we have grown in His grace
and love. However, some of us have accepted Jesus as our
Savior and stopped right there - not accepting His
forgiveness for our sins and then dragging them with us
as “skeletons in
our closets.” Our failure is not accepting our Lord’s
faith, peace and promises that He freely gives to us who
believe in Him.
In Christ there must be no “skeletons” in our lives, but
only glorious testimonies of what God has done for us in
making us
children and His saints. These testimonies are very crucial in leading
others to Christ. |
